Hi mysterious strangers! Happy November! I'm working away at the site, hopefully it'll be shareable by Christmas (that's my new goal)

I've made a "business" email; I really hope it leads to something someday. If you ever want to send me a job opportunity or just say hi, please do so!

I'm still working my shitty job; I should get a higher paying shitty part-time job. I really just want to work in art soooo bad! People are so dismissive when I say that in real life, but I don't really care. I see more in myself than they do!

Hello beautiful people! This is my first blog post here on Neocities (yay!) and I'm so excited to continue working on this site. There's a lot I still need to do, but I've been distracted by work, friends, and my attempt at Hooptober over on Letterboxd. I promise to get more done in November!!

If you don't know what Hooptober is, it's an annual challenge wherein Letterboxd users have to watch 31 horror movies for the month of October. The kicker is that it's also a scavenger hunt, so those 31 films need to fulfill certain criteria. You always need to watch something by Tobe Hooper, the challenge's namesake. Based on my website, I don't think most people would assume that I like horror movies. I genuinely do enjoy the camp value of a lot of fake gore and the A24 stuff, but to be honest, the fascination didn't really start until I read Barbara Creed's The Monstrous-Feminine. It's a series of essays looking at how women can be depicted as monstrous on screen - it really changed the way I think about things. So, yeah. It's a pompous sort of feminist project of mine to watch as much horror as I possibly can, and Hooptober helps a lot. I got really excited this year when I watched May (2002), there's so much going on there!

I'll link my Letterboxd eventually; same with IG and whatever else I remember I have. Neocities is my main squeeze now, though! Stay tuned, I'll try to update this blog regularly.
